If you are asking if there are any American communists in the United States...yes, roughly 2,000 of them. See:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Communist_Party_USA

However, the Communist Party of the United States has been outlawed since 1954, a law that has neither been repealed by Congress or overturned by the Supreme Court. See:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Communist_Control_Act...

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mitchell_v._Donovan

This is even more quixotic when you consider that the Gus Hall/Angela Davis received over 36,000 votes for President in 1984 when the Party was still outlawed. (See Communist_Party_USA)...go figure!

Just another great example of 'gray' law (like spitting on the sidewalk)!

There are a few, but the various communist parties in the US are extremely tiny and, even put together, wouldn't come close to even 1% of the voting population. How many of those are actually pro-Russian is going to be even a smaller amount - Russia is a right-wing country now, and many communists are very much not supportive of the USSR or the modern Russian Communist Party.

So, a tiny handful - maybe a few hundred.

Seeing communism as an economic and political system has proven to be a house of cards, the few that remain are being silent for the moment. The Chinese have taken a completely different route to utopia and North Korea is a catastrophe in the making and anybody with eyes can see it.

Yes, but not in any appreciable numbers. A few months ago there were 10 Russian spies caught in the U.S. who had been here 15 years and lived a normal American life-style = they were sent back to Russia.
