Practicing Roman Catholics?

There are so many Christian denominations, how do you know your denomination is the right one and does this matter? Does the Catholic church recognize that people are born gay? What are the alternatives for those who are born this way? How can we be certain we are interpreting the bible correctly? Scientists before proved the Earth was round, many believed that it was heresy at the time. What if we are ignorant of the truth now that maybe God really did create people homosexual?

    Practicing Roman Catholics? Yes.

There are so many Christian denominations, how do you know your denomination is the right one and does this matter? Well first of all the Catholic Church is not a denomination, and second the Roman Rite is just one of the many Rites of the Catholic Church. But yes I am a Roman Catholic. And how do I know that the Catholic Church is the true Church because it was founded by Jesus and established by the Apostles.

Does the Catholic church recognize that people are born gay? This is not a typical question for the Catholic Church, but I can answer it no one really knows for a time homosexuality was considered a psychological disorder and there has not been any scientific proof that it's genetically inherited.

What are the alternatives for those who are born this way? The Catholic Church teaches that some people are called to chastity and some people are called to marriage but when I say marriage it's between a man and a woman. There are support groups for homosexuals that struggle with their desires that are offered by the Catholic Church.

How can we be certain we are interpreting the bible correctly? Jesus given the Holy Spirit to instruct the Apostles the Pope is the successor of the Apostle St. Peter the leader of the Apostles and the Bishops of the Magistrium of the Church are the successors of the Apostles.

Scientists before proved the Earth was round, many believed that it was heresy at the time. What if we are ignorant of the truth now that maybe God really did create people homosexual? The Catholic Church does not teach that being a homosexual is a sin, rather what the Catholic Church teaches is that homosexual acts are sinful.

God unveils Himself and salvation in more than just one simple way. To say that one denomination is only correct and the only way is limiting God's abilities. What really matters is that you have accepted Jesus as your Savior and you live to be as Christ-like.

On the matter of homosexuality, the Catholic Church does not frown upon the homosexual attraction or feelings, but rather the sexual actions that can take place. The alternative for those who are homosexual is to be celibate (just like an unmarried heterosexual). We can be certain we are interpreting the Bible correctly thanks to the magisterium, for it is their job to interpret the Bible and to teach it to the lay people.

The world has many shades of gray. Of course God created homosexual people.

Everyone thinks they are right and have the truth. And they do if they believe it. Truth is what you believe facts are what is. Everyone knows a lot of truth but no one knows many facts.
