Who do you think Robinson Cano will sign with this off-season?
The Yankees obviously want him back, but at what price? Cano will be 31 years old next year. Here are some high-payroll teams who could use an upgrade at second base:
Yankees - Cano is their best hitter and player, but the Yankees probably don't want to commit to another hugely long and expensive contract to a player over 30 years old. Look at what they are going through with A-Rod.
Orioles - Cano would fit right in as the #3 hitter in a lineup that includes Chris Davis, Manny Machado, Nick Markakis, Adam Jones, JJ Hardy and Matt Wieters. The addition of Cano would make this a devastating lineup, maybe the best in baseball.
Blue Jays - Big off-season acquisitions haven't worked out for the Blue Jays this year. But add Cano to a lineup that already includes Jose Bautista, Edwin Encarnacion, Jose Reyes, and Adam Lind, and you have an offense to be reckoned with. Also Reyes and Cano would make a great double play combo. But is it worth it without having any pitching?
Tigers - The Tigers have not been afraid to spend big money in the right places over the last few years, and it has made them probably the most talented team in baseball on paper and has gotten them to a World Series. Add Cano to a lineup that already includes Miguel Cabrera, Prince Fielder, Victor Martinez, Austin Jackson, Torii Hunter and Johnny Peralta, and just like with the Orioles the addition of Cano gives them the best lineup in the game. And with Scherzer, Verlander, Sanchez, and Fister in the rotation, Cano makes the Tigers World Series favorites in my opinion. (Imagine if they had signed Rafael Soriano to close this year and then signed Cano next year. Wow.)
Nationals - The owner has deep pockets, and Danny Espinosa has hit .158 / .193 / .272 / .465 in 158 AB this year. He's been hurt, but he's not a big hitter and this is a team that has trouble scoring runs. Cano would help them big time with that. Maybe trade Espinosa, who still has potential.
Dodgers - Dodgers have deep pockets, they need offense, and they need a second baseman.
What do you think?

he will be with the yankees. he says he hopes to stay there and his dad also wants him to stay his whole career. and his dad is one of his role models. i think the yankees keep him and he will be there for a little bit of the next era of good teams. i think the yankees will go through a slight rebuild and be a pretty good team again in maybe 2015 or 2016. and this is coming from a yankee fan. i think its time for yankee fans to accept that the team is headed to a new era. but when they get their team back up they will be a really good team. but it wont be quick. cashman cant go out and buy a bunch of stars and party like its 1996. it doesnt work like that. yankee fans will have to be patient.
