Yeah, guess who's paying the rest, the affordable care act! means the TAX PAYERS HAVE TO PAY FOR IT!

The liberal politicians are subsidizing premiums to make Obamacare more attractive.

This is not an effect of Obamacare reducing the cost of insurance. In fact most people with employer based health care have seen their premiums skyrocket.

This does not show any cost savings by these exchanges, and is no indication that these programs will be able to survive without massive government intervention.

As others have stated, NY State had one of the highest, if not THE highest, insurance premiums rate in the nation. Most, if not all, of the ACA mandates were already NY state law. So it's not like insurers there had skyrocketing costs from brand new Federal mandates.

In most other states, however, you're likely to see continued cost increases. And the smart choice for younger folks and the self-employed (like me) will be to just pay the stupid fine for not carrying coverage. Since you can't be refused under any circumstance now, those of us in that group will pick up coverage if and when we get sick. (Thanks, government!)

    The exchanges haven't opened yet.

That said, NY has some of the highest premiums already. There isn't anywhere to go but down.

For the REST of the country...premiums are going up.

I think it is a fact the Cons will ignore, It shows Obamacare working, and more proof the FAKE NEWS is all about lies.

Another fact is Insurance companies are sending customers/insured checks because they have over charged them. This is in effect a lowering of insurance premiums. Another fact the cons will ignore!

Yeah... imagine what happens when the STATE says that a heart bypass is worth a $600 reimbursement.... or two hours of kidney dialysis gets covered with $50... question... who is going to cover the shortfall when Doctors cannot continue to pay their liability insurance and other overhead costs?
