methylcellulose is it vegan?

what is it? where does it come from?

    It's a thickener made from cellulose. Most likely a byproduct of wood pulp or agricultural waste.

    Not sure but typically if you can't sound it out or find it in nature, it's not good for you and therefore probably not vegan!

    It's made from trees, the same process as paper making, but the product is food-grade cellulose.
