Which rating helps more in becoming a civilian aircraft mechanic?

Aviation Machinist's Mate or Aviation Structural Mechanic.

I have no prior experience. I am tired of the business world and want to try something different, gain a great experience while learning a trade and gaining a new career.

I am looking into the NAVY.

    Familiarize yourself with the FAA's mission statement: "We're not happy until YOU'RE not happy"

    While being an A&P has its rewards, there is also a lot of paperwork and rules and regulations.

    It is one of THEE most important skills to know.

    Also, attend a fly-in. The two most notable are Sun n' fun in Florida

    And the biggest one is Oshkosh in Wisconsin. (July 29-Aug 4‎)
