Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road Double Cab ?

Give me it's specs.

Beside its package, is it actually a good off-road/mudding truck ?

What's the difference between the off-road and sport ?

I've decided this is the truck I'm going to buy, but of course I want to get the personal words of people who have/had this truck.

This will be the first truck I ever buy.

You can read the "specs" on the official Toyota web site.

These trucks with the V6, in recent years have delivered disappointing fuel mileage. I've known a few people who have owned them.

Maybe by now, Toyota has worked at improving that, I don't know. You can also check the EPA fuel mileage ratings on the Toyota web site.

Their reliability is top notch, as you would expect.

The answer that states the sport is only available in access cab is incorrect. I have a 2010 double cab TRD sport. The biggest difference to me was the fact that you can only get a six foot bed with the sport. The off road has a five foot bed.

The TRD off-road is a great package for going off the beaten path. The most important thing it includes is the electrically-actuated rear differential locker. It also includes specially-valved Bilstein shocks and BFGoodrich all-terrain tires among other items.

The most notable differences between the TRD Sport and Off-road packages are the traction features. The Off-road has the electric locking differential that has the biggest traction advantage, combined with the A-TRAC off-road traction control system that is excellent at preventing wheel slip and maintaining forward progress. The Sport has a limited-slip differential and no A-TRAC. They also have different wheel/tire combos: 16" wheels with Off-road, 17" wheels and lower profile tires with the Sport. Both versions use the 4.0L V-6 with 236 hp and 266 lb-ft.

The TRD sport package is only available on access-cab. The double-cab is only available with the TRD off-road package.

    TRD off-road package includes:
