What can be used to distinguish SO2 & H2S?

a) and d)
a) The Fe^3+ will oxidise the SO2 to SO4^2- and the H2S to S. This will appear as a yellow precipitate. In both cases the yellow Fe^3+(aq) will be reduced to pale green Fe^2+(aq) but only the H2S will form the precipitate.
b) This time the Cl2 will do the oxidising as above but also as above only the H2S will produce a precipitate.
