Microsoft Word 2013 uses US spelling, I can't change it to UK spelling.?

I'm using Microsoft Word 2013. It is default set to US spelling (However in the options it is set to system default which is UK.)

When I type something such as colour and it is underlined and corrects to 'color', if I go to the dropdown list in the spelling panel and select UK, it only changes the spelling to UK for that single word, and the rest of the document stays in US, so anymore 'colour's are still underlined.

Can anyone help me?

Thank you.

Right click on the Status Bar at the bottom of the Word screen and make sure that "Language" is checked.

Click on the language now listed and specify the language that you want to use. Set as Default.
