Dustin Hoffman's epiphany: people miss meeting interesting women because of our standards of beauty?
Dustin Hoffman's revelation after paying the role of Tootsie was that so there must have been many interesting women who he never got to know because he (and men in general) never bothered to approach because of our standards of beauty.
OK. Here's the flipside of that: I'm an interesting guy, and NO women have EVER approached me to get to know me. I've had to make the move, and when I have, I was either been perceived as interesting or I wasn't.
Unattractive women, welcome to the world of MEN - where WE need to make it happen. Attractive women have "bait" (if you will) to make this aspect of life easy, but the rest of us - well, we have to WORK at it.
I'm sorry - I have no sympathy for unattractive women, in this regard, and unless Sharon Stone or somebody like her acknowledges that she missed out on plenty of interesting men because she was too chickensh!t to approach them, I see no reason to change my position.
But I would love to hear your opinion.
