In juvenile detention..or jail...your rights go down the tube. You deal with the rules. Includes strip search.

When persons are committed to detention facilities (jail, prison, juvie etc) they are strip searched. That is fo their own protection, the protection of the staff and the protection of other inmates. You can refuse all you want, but you will end up getting strip searched. You are the one who is doing the harm to yourself, you have no right not to comply, There is no process, it just happens, believe me.

you can refuse but eventually you WILL be strip searched.
Do it the easy way and comply, your not going to win.
Its way better to have one detention officer search you rather that 5-6 guys right ?
Those guys could care less to see your junk, they check for illegal contraband.
FYI...ANY contraband in a secured facility....FELONY !
IF you chose to fight.....a felony for EVERY officer you asaultSource(s): Juvenile Services Officer

You can refuse to undergo a strip search but it won't be too helpful. They will strap you to a table and remove your clothes and do a cavity search. And trust me, they could care less if they are doing harm to you emotionally.

if you refuse they basically restrain you force your shirt socks sneakers and pants on and leave nothing but your underwear on and shackle your wrists and ankles and you get to spend a few hours in a segregation cell with nothing but your underwear on and when they come back if you refuse again then they have to forcibly search you.and any harm done if your fault for thinking you have rights in a strip search when you committed a crime to be sent to JDC.

Surely you can refuse --- both before and after the process is completed

You will be searched,no matter how hard you fight. You make it ruff on yourself by being stupid.

You say it as IF it is an option,
You WILL be assisted in complying..............
