Need a middle name for Hanna?
Hi there! We are proudly expecting our second daughter in about 11 weeks! We've decided to name her Hanna, but we're encountering some difficulty with a middle name.
We had chosen three names that we loved, however they all started with A, thus making her initials HAM - I'm sure you can see the problem. It doesn't bother me so much, but I worry when she starts school, that she will be teased. (Thoughts on this?)
I'm looking for a traditional name (preferably 3 syllables). Unfortunately the names we love are already taken by family members, and DH does NOT want to "re-use" any of the following: Elizabeth, Carolyn, Katherine, or Isabel.
Everyone suggests Grace or Marie, but my other daughters middle name is Grace, and we already have a Marie in the family. I also don't like trendy names like Nicole, Claire etc.
Thanks in advance!!
Ps. I know what people can be like here, so please no comments about the spelling - yes, Hanna is an actual name, not just some made-up version of spelling it. There IS a difference between Hanna & Hannah. ;)

Hanna is a lovely name and the spelling to me is more feminine. As for middle names, using A names wouldn't be terrible, not many friends would know her middle name anyway (unless she told them or your call you by her first and middle name), therefore they wouldn't know her initials are HAM, so if you guys really like the A middle names, I say go for it! :) But if you don't what her initials to be HAM, other suggestions include:
Hanna Eloise
Hanna Madeline
Hanna Avery
Hanna Margaret
Hanna Meredith
Hanna Evelyn
Hanna Lillian
Hanna Kathleen
Hanna Victoria
Hanna Beatrice
Hanna Adelaide
My favorites are :
Hanna Evelyn
Hanna Adelaide
Hanna Madeline
Hope this helps and good luck! :)

I love Hanna. I know one though, so it is unusable for us.
There are lots of traditional middle names (3 syllables) that would go well. I listed them below in alphabetical order in case you have a letter preference. I also didn't list any that start with A-:
Hanna Beatrice
Hanna Bethany
Hanna Cassandra
Hanna Cordelia
Hanna Charlotte
Hanna Christina
Hanna Danielle or Hanna Daniella
Hanna Eleanor
Hanna Elouise
Hanna Evelyn
Hanna Evangeline
Hanna Gabrielle
Hanna Jaquelyn
Hanna Joselyn
Hanna Josephine
Hanna Lillian
Hanna Lucia
Hanna Margaret
Hanna Margery or Hanna Marjorie
Hanna Meredith
Hanna Priscilla
Hanna Rebecca
Hanna Roselyn
Hanna Sabrina
Hanna Selina
Hanna Tabitha
Hanna Vivienne
I personally think that Hanna Margaret sounds lovely.
hope this helps!

Fist off, I like Hanna much better than Hannah. Just throwing that out there. I don't think her initials will be that much of an issue in school. Unless she has a monogrammed backpack in school, almost no one will know her middle initial.
That being said, how about Brooke/Brooklyn? You said there's a Marie in the family, but what about Maria? Not exactly the same name.

Well i think that the A middle names would be fine because when im asked to write my initials or if anyone else is, i never see anyone put their middle name intial so it would just be HM. My name is Shannon Marie Thompson but when im asked to write my initials, i put ST. i have never seen anyone actually include the middle initial, so im sure itll be fine :)
