Are you an ac tech?...you didn't really ask a question...anyhow

There are 3 basic types./a ptc...positive temperature co -efficient

Pick up/drop out type which consists of a relay which rates

out with a ratio and doesn't stay engaged continuously.last

but least your two wire or kickstart....and yes one wire will go to herm/compressor

And the other to common...if it is a dual run capacitor...be

sure it is proper for your compressor...need of a start kit can be

For long line set applications...to assist a weak compressor

overcome locked rotor...and the start kit you choose should be rated and all

manufacturers have specific start kits for their equiptment.

the 5-2-1. Kits are 99% better and require some hvac knowledge.

Wouldn't be alot easier to just fix the problems that make it need a hard start? Don't you care about your system?

    just sayin'....
