Do the "Thought Police" exist yet? And what makes you....?

"think" they don't exist? Really, I can answer for you. you don't need to think at all. The Courts will decide everything for you, as they obviously ( Prop 8) know what's best for you.

Update:

aa...yes, well stated. A best answer.

The "Thought Police" exist as the redefiners-of-words and redefiners-of-moral-convention. It is a loose knit and far-reaching cabal including progressive thinkers in the media, liberal ivory tower bastions of post-secondary education, and wealthy liberal/progressive members of Congress and PACs.

And if the courts don't, the church will. (Middle East, Texas) Thought Police have been around since the disciples of Paul sold the goods to Constantine and probably even earlier although the evidence is not as clear.

The thought police mass monitor and play dreams to the population for mass control. They use an amplified frequency on their bodies to enhance telepathy. They can manipulate thoughts and feelings. It is a branch of the police force.

The courts didn't decide anything about what you should think about Prop 8.

They did exactly what they are supposed to do--judge the constitutionality of laws.

On a global level, religion has always been the "thought police" where "thinking about things" is labelled a "sin"

On a national / international level some free speech is denied to many, but its much more complex than that.

Why do you think your government listens on your conversations and knows everything about you then?

This, this guy stuck in the Russian airport (Edward whatever) is a hero. The U.S. government is the most dangerous terrorist organization in the world. Spying on other countries' conversations as well?! F

Yes the thought Police are recording every mouse click and storing it in case something is needed to incriminate you in the future.

    Be afraid.

What are you going on about?? Civil law has nothing to do with telling you what to think, it's about the laws that are in place. People disagree with laws all the time and no imaginary "thought police" are stopping them from disagreeing.

    You mean religious nutters?

Dude - they've existed for ever. They just *suck* at being thought police; on account of their predisposition towards confirmation bias (ie: it works because I say it does.)

Just make sure you turn yourself in if you ever commit a thought crime.
