Why do Christians accept, without question, the "accuracy" of the gospels, but dismiss...?
... the personal eyewitness testimony of alien abductees?
Why are the gospels accepted, NONE of which were written based on personal eyewitness testimony, yet
ALL of the accounts of alien abductees are dismissed, which ARE based on personal eyewitness testimony?

In spite of the mocking, sarcastic tone of your question, you have nevertheless received numerous kind and knowledgeable answers from Christians. The word of God is absolutely defensible, and your puny attacks are like a child throwing rocks at a Sherman tank.

God's word means nothing to you because neither your heart nor mind are open, but you are incapable of discrediting the Bible. All of mankind has been given ample evidence in creation itself; the heavens declare the majesty of God. YOU have furthermore the evidence of Moses and the prophets AND the sign of Jonas, which is a resurrected Christ.
Since you have CHOSEN to reject everything with which God has graced you, the final evidence you WILL receive is to meet with Christ, and your damnation is assured.
YOU can change this at any time prior to your death, (Jesus accepted the repentant heart of a thief in his dying hour in Luke 23:43), but consider this message from the alien ghost of Christmas Future. Christ lives in my heart, and I speak with him daily. He speaks to me through his Word. You have been warned, based upon personal eyewitness testimony.
Reject all the evidence to your peril. Read Luke 16:23.

And your evidence that the gospels were not based on eye witness accounts is...???
The gospel of Luke was already being quoted by the apostle Paul within 25 years of the life of Jesus. (Over 20 times in the letter of 1 Corinthians alone.) So we know that Luke to have existed within the lifetime of the eye witnesses to the events.
Luke includes over 89% of Mark in his gospel, stated that the material comes from an earlier gospel. Tha places Mark within 15-20 year of the events, Again, will within the time frame needed for it to be an eye witness account.
Historically there is evidence to support the claim that the gospels were written by people who actually witnessed the events within them.
And who says that all Christians dismiss alien abductions, That is a generalization that is not supported by facts. There are Christians who believe in it.

The gospels were based on personal eyewitness testimonies. The validity of alien abduction accounts varies from one person to another, but there is no theological pertinence to these abductions.

The people of the Bible lives overlapped each others by some 300 years. Which mean almost all the characters of the Bible not only knew the stories most of them experienced what happened. Noah was alive when Abraham was. He also knew Methuselah. So his stories of the Ark went to the oldest man of the bible and also to Abraham who knew a lot of people. He knew Issac and Jacob and Joseph. They all got his story from the ship builder master himself. The same story continues. Each person of the Bible knew people from generations since they lived so long.
How are you brave enough to say the Bible had no eye witnesses? When you knew the ship builder personally do you need to witness his actual story? Some people are just born skeptics, and nothing can be done about that. Good luck with you life without God.

You are wrong. Christians accept, without question, the accuracy of the teachings of Paul. They dismiss the Gospels. Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John are considered the books of the Gospel. Christians worship Jesus with their mouths, but they honor Paul with their actions. Paul's instructions are the opposite of Jesus'.
It's a good think that Jesus didn't believe in hell. If he did, they'd all be going to it.

What makes you say that it is not written by personal eyewitness? Where do you get that information......> Did you just happen to hear that somewhere?
We accept them as accurate because they "do" have eyewitness accounts and that all 4 accounts support one another though they were written by different people with different perspectives............>

Because witnesses of the gospels don't hide their face like alien abductees do.
- biggalloot2003Lv 78 years ago
Because you can't actually prove that any of the people in the bible actually exist.
The abductees are actual people. That seriously erodes their credibility.
Made up people, never lie! It's a proven fact!

There were thousands and thousands of eye witnesses to what the Gospels recorded. No problem there.
Only those who want to live their life and justify what they do rebel at God or try to change what He says to fit their own desires.
