I debated getting a buzz cut for a really long time, but today I finally got one and it looks amazing! I would recommened it to any guy. I had skater hair before, but the buzz looks so much better. If you want to get a buzz cut, u should probably get a long one like a #3 first to see how you like it.

A shaved sides hair cut would be nice. Trust me I can see it on you already

Yo. It will not look bad on you, if you dont mind the hassle of constantly waxing your hair, I do haha.
Like this maybe: http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-FSt3TlqS2N8/UEzo1dO3KAI/...
Or if you dont want to risk it. Maybe just layer your sides. They are too long and thick

It would help to also see your frontal hairline and ears but assuming the left ear is about the same as the right and the hairline is fairly average for a teen aged guy, as is true for most young guys, a good barber should be able to design a regular haircut or any of the short pomp(pompadour) styles-crew cut, ivy league(long crew cut), flat top crew cut- to fully suit. If short refers to a butch or burr(short butch) they are styles that fully suit relatively few guys and the degree a butch or burr suits is highly dependent on the exact skull shape, reflected on the outer surface of the hair, and how well said elements complement the face shape, frontal hairline and facial features; relatively few guys fully suit a butch or burr. Hair only grows at an average rate of 1/8" per week, so it can take a while to grow out a short summer style. Try a regular haircut first, it will accustom a guy to having short tapered hair on the mid to lower back and sides and to having the ears free of hair. If there is a desire to go shorter on top for swimming, football practice, X-C practice, summer baseball or lacrosse etc go with an ivy league. Shorter still, progressively shorter crew cuts.

Some barbers consider that all crew cuts should have a flat top, so it is best to not rely on words alone for even a widely recognized style like a crew cut.

Search the internet for images of football(soccer)star Lukas Podolski for examples of ivy league and crew cut styles. A minute dab of control wax aka butch wax will keep the hair looking well groomed at crew cut and ivy league length. A butch comb also helps with grooming the short pomp styles- the small, flat, plastic, oval, pocket brushes that one finger fits through and barbers sell for about a dollar. A boar bristle military brush is usually available for a few dollars and while too large for a guy to carry in his pocket, is nice to have at home.
