What to eat after running?
I'm running for exercise. What's the best thing to eat before and after running?

Water and lemonade and/or a banana.
You want to run on an empty stomach for the most part because the process of digestion requires water and blood, which will make it more difficult to get a good workout. After your run, you will actually want to quickly get some energy into your blood because the brain needs it. If you get wobbly knees and can't hold a cup still, it is because your brain needs the sugar, not the shaking parts.
You want to replenish your minerals, especially potassium. I do not recommend artificial drinks such as cool aid or gatorade. Fresh squeezed lemon or orange juice mixed with ice water is great, low calorie but with the natural sugars the brain needs. And of course everyone knows about the potassium rich banana.
