How do you feel about Texas carrying out its 500th execution?

Texas marked a solemn moment in criminal justice Wednesday evening, executing its 500th inmate since it resumed carrying out capital punishment in 1982.

On the eve of Texas's 500th execution, Rick Perry says: "In Texas, we value all life" There is something kind of ironic about that.

It's almost as odd as the death penalty logic in the first place. "Killing another human being is so wrong, evil and unforgivable of an act that we are going to kill you now".

    Ehh?

Personally, I am against capital punishment. But,,,,,,there have been only a few times, that I agreed with it, in one specific case was Ted Bundy, the serial killer.

In most cases it has been shown that executions does not deter crime. Also over the years, in some cases, now with DNA, have found that some prisoners were found not guilty of the crime.

The site above gives 10 reasons of pros/cons and it is good of doing both.

As Governor of Texas, Perry "presides" over each and each execution that happens there. As for the guy carried out, he replace into have been given here upon in can charge via utilising a jury of his pals and all his appeals have been denied. ultimately, The governor of Texas would not carry the skill of clemency, so Perry would desire to no longer have stopped the execution. of direction, all this coaching is set via the actual undeniable fact which you're telling some semblance of the very fact and not only blowing smoke out your @$$. playstation : Ann Richards (Democrat) replace into governor of Texas on an analogous time as this guy replace into have been given here upon in can charge. i be responsive to she's ineffective, however the area is your anger at her for no longer interceding on an analogous time as she replace into even though in workplace?

If a violent criminal escapes a crime with his life, we owe it to the victim to immediately execute him, as would have been the right of the victim DURING the crime. Dirt-bag has forfeited the right to continue breathing our air and was living on borrowed time from the moment he escaped being killed in self-defense.

Fitting. Murdered a neighbor in cold blood while robbing her.

There are people out there for whom the only true justice due for their acts is to forfeit their lives.
