Top fixed gear bikes?
So I live in Chicago and this summer I plan on getting into the world of fixed gear bikes since its becoming such a common trend around here. I was just wondering what are the top/affordable/good quality fixed gear brands out there?

There's that word again..."affordable". Define "affordable". $100 - $300 - $500 - $1,000? Affordable & good quality don't always go hand-in-hand.
300 miles south of you & little to the west lays your nemesis baseball team - St. Louis. One of the "top brands" around here is Masi.
Quality doesn't come cheap.
If you want the biggest piece of crap I've ever seen in my life - go to Wally World.
Note that Wally World sells "bicycle shaped objects" in the TOY Dept.!!!

You may as well just get a Thruster if you want a fixed gear bike. Being stuck in the same gear all the time will p!ss you off if you have to ride up hill or downhill, or in to a head wind. You will soon get bored of a fixie so you may as well save your some money and just get a cheap one that probably won't last long anyway.
