Where in The Bible does it say gay is bad?

Verse and chapter please!

Where does it say "gay is bad" "gay people go to hell" in The Holy Bible?

I'm pretty sure it doesnt say anything, but I want to know if it does.

PS: gay rights supporter right here! :)

    First off, ignore the "homosexual offenders" line in one of your other answers. The New Testament makes no reference to homosexuality. The word being interpreted to refer to homosexuals is actually a more generic term for sexual immorality. Given that the Bible was written in Greek, and given that the Greeks really didn't care about homosexuality, that's more than a bit of a stretch. That particular stretch has been made since the King James version of the Bible, but it has no basis in fact.

    The closest you're going to find is in the Old Testament, specifically in Leviticus:

    18:22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.

    There are some textual difficulties here, but let's ignore them and assume it says what everyone says it does. There are still some problems with taking this as a blanket condemnation of homosexuality. First off, Leviticus is called that because it's addressed to the Levites, the tribe (of the twelve tribes of Israel) that was tasked with being priests. So, if you want to get picky, if you're not a priest or a Levite, it doesn't apply to you. Ignoring that, there are numerous other prohibitions in Leviticus - the Jewish dietary restrictions come largely out of here, there re restrictions against wearing clothing of mixed threads (different types of fabric, such as a cotton-rayon blend), and others. Most modern Christians don't pay much attention to those because of that section of Acts where Peter has a dream about eating a lot of "unclean" things. When he objects, God tells him that He has made those things clean. Most Christians interpret this to mean that Christ fulfilled the Old Testament Law when He died on the Cross, and we are therefore no longer bound by the Law, but rather saved by Grace.

    The difficulty here, of course is the number of people who pick and choose which parts of the Law they obey. Intellectually and spiritually, they can be ignored because they have no idea what they're talking about. Practically, of course, you can't really ignore them, but you can refuse to take them seriously.

    So - ultimately, there is no authoritative part of the Bible that condemns homosexuality. There is a lot that condemns being judgmental , on the other hand.

    Bible says eating shellfish is an abomination. engaged on Sundays besides is a sin. quite some human beings bypass against the Bible because of the fact it desires a incredible revision to mirror the advancements guy has made in technological expertise.

    It doesn't say BAD, it says the actions are detestable, and abomination, and unnatural. SUMMED up= DON'T DO IT... it's NOT OKAY.

    There's NOTHING to support same sex unions in the bible, not a SINGLE verse. When God presented Adam (the man) and suitable partner .. it was EVE (she, girl, female). That same MODEL of marriage is replicated throughout the bible, there's no alternative option mentioned ANYWHERE in scripture..

    In addition, our ORGANS functions...dictate their natural use.. the devil is at work, and had LIED to anyone that thinks ANAL/PENIS sex is normal... it's filthy, vile, disgusting, smelly, and sickening in general. I will NEVER, EVER lie to my children and tell them otherwise. That's male/male--- male/female.

    It definitely does say somewhere in the Bible that God hates homosexuals. I'm pretty sure that it's in Leviticus and Romans. Don't worry about it; the Bible is complete nonsense. The Bible also says that people of African descent are cursed!

    1 Corinthians 6:9-10 - "Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God."

    Leviticus 18:22 ‘Do not have sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman; that is detestable.

    Leviticus 20:13 “‘If a man has sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They are to be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.

    Still, Galatians 3:28 "There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus."

    Matthew 7:3 "Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?"

    Yes it does say that homosexuality is wrong. Here are the verses and chapters:

    "Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination."(Leviticus 18:22)

    "If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them." (Leviticus 20:13)

    "For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;" (Romans 1:26-28)

    "Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire." (Jude 1:7)

    "Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God." (1 Corinthians 6:9-10)

    "And there were also sodomites in the land: and they did according to all the abominations of the nations which the Lord cast out before the children of Israel." (1 Kings 14:24)

    Those are all the places in the Bible that homosexual behavior is said as bad or they are being punished. I hope this helps.
