Chinese speakers: what American girl names are the hardest to pronounce for you and why?

    It's hard to think of any. As long as it follows the usual pronunciation rules and isn't borrowed from another language like French or Spanish, American names are pretty easy to pronounce. I have no problem sounding out the word itself, just with knowing how to pronounce it (i.e. what syllable to stress, what letters are silent, etc.)

    For example, I had to look up how to pronounce Lois (as in Lois Lane). Wasn't sure if the 's' was silent like in "Louis". But I think this is a problem with most non-native English speakers, not just Chinese speakers.
