No secret that most of Pettys wins were against "weekend warriors" Who is the true "King"?

Petty is only credited with 60 modern era wins. Who is truly the GOAT!?

Jeff Gordon perhaps? JJ? Kyle?

Your thoughts.

A decade from now and Rowdy will have terminated all of the above. Aren't his stats obvious for his age???

Petty was a weekend warrior that just happen to get sponsors. If drivers like Pearson, Yarborough, and Allison would have stuck with one team, things might have been different. If Pearson would have run more than three full seasons things would have been different. The three times he did run the full season he won the championship.

And the GOAT is Dale Earnhardt Sr.

And Kyle ain't close, not in the same galaxy, to being compared to Jeff Gordon, Stewart, Johnson, Earnhardt.

  • Kyle should first try to win the IndyCar championship (CART is gone), then the Indy 500, then seven Formula One races, then the 24 hours of Daytona. Because as long as he didn't do THIS, he is in no way a better wheelman than Montoya.

Most of Petty's wins were against "weekend warriors"? I think someone needs to go back and recheck their Nascar history. From day one, Petty started against his dad, and a bunch of other professional, factory backed stock car drivers. Quit trying to make stuff up. It only makes you look stupid.
