在醫療產業發達與高齡化的社會中,生技產業的持續發展乃為必然趨勢,其中生醫材料乃屬高產值生技產業之一。生醫材料中所使用的塑膠種類相當廣泛,但近年來石化塑膠所造成的汙染受到重視,所以以生質性塑膠來取代現有塑膠製品的趨勢將不可避免,在本研究中將以Haloferax mediterranei菌株生產生物可分解高分子PHA (Polyhydroxyalkanoates),並透過靜電紡絲技術開發有利於生醫材料應用之產品。所研究之PHA乃為PHBV (Poly-hydroxybutyrate-co- hydroxyvalerate)結構,其中HV的含量可以高達26.1%,在同軸靜電紡絲試驗過程中,可以經由PHBV溶液黏度的控制來改善電紡加工時的不穩定性,而製成特定結構之纖維薄膜。該PHBV薄膜於模擬生物體內之緩衝溶液中進行降解試驗,28天時後,其重量損失可達9 %。於UV光照射下只有些微纖維裂解的情況,未來於UV殺菌處理時,可以維持一定的物性與結構。而同軸靜電紡絲技術於最佳條件下製備出高順向性中空纖維薄膜,其中空纖維尺寸長24±3 x寬9±1μm、纖維表面孔徑0.6 ± 0.2 μm,透過此結構之特殊性,將有利於生醫物質滲透、藥物釋放、生化分離和酵素固定化等材料之應用。
