Have you tried other designs of boat? there are a lot of recreational boats on the market, and it is always good too look around, and make sure you are comfortable with the boat you intend to buy.
Even if you are only intending to do recreational paddling, a day at an outdoor centre will give you a lot of pointers towards
If you bought it recently (and have your heart set on a Zydeco), i would suggest returning it (for a full refund, ofc) and moving to the Zydeco 11, because it will give you a lot more flexibility as the 11 has a hatch which adds the option to take say.... a little camping stove, soup, sandwiches, a spare set of clothes, even a small tent if you want to do an overnight trip, as well as giving you the security of a much higher weight limit.
however, try it on the water first so you get a feel for the boat. if it feels like it is riding too low in the water then you may want to look at moving to the 11
I assume you are looking more at flat water touring, recreational use, maybee day trips, and are relatively new to the sport?
