List of modern British names?

List of modern British names?

Can you guys give me a list of British names and surnames for both girls and guys? I'm writing a story and I like the sound of British names a lot. Thanks! More teeny, please. As many as you can think of. :D

    Use these websites -

    Names -

    http://www.behindthename.com/ (just click on 'English')

    Surnames -

    http://surnames.behindthename.com/ (again, click on 'English')

Basically, this website has a HUGE list of names from all over the world and from different points in time (as well as mythological, religious/biblical...etc). You can search up names be meanings and origins, or you can simply search up the name by Usage (e.g. English, Spanish, Chinese, Indian, Russian...etc). From there, a list will appear with names that are commonly and rarely used in that culture, along with their variants (e.g. If I were to go on 'Adeline' on the English section, I could click on the name and it would bring up it's origin as well as its variants in other languages - Adelia (Spanish), Ada (Hungarians), Allina (Finnish)...etc, etc).

I always use these websites when looking for names and surnames, and so far they've proved to be very precise and useful :)

Considering, to take just one example, that the Archbishop of York, the second highest leader of the Church of England, is a former Ugandan surnamed "Sentamu," I'd say there aren't any really typical modern British names and surnames. The UK is a melting pot, or else a mosaic, but not an ethnically monolithic country where everybody is named "Mary Smith" and "John Jones" any more.
