5/3(1/2x - 5) = 3x + 15
(Multiply by 3)
5(1/2x - 5) = 9x + 45
(Distribute the 5)
5x/2 - 25 = 9x + 45
(Subtract 9x from both sides, and add 25)
5x/2 - 9x = 45 + 25
(Factor out the x)
x(5/2 - 9) = 70
x(-13/2) = 70
(Multiply by -2 and divide by 13)
x = -140/13
