The mission that opens the First Island is "Green Sabre". Total inclusive: 28.

The mission that opens the Last Island is "Ya, Ka, Boom Boom" 36 more (not counting side-missions).

The mission that opens the Safe houses in San Fierro is "Are you going to San Fierro?"

The mission that opens the Safe houses in Las Ventures is "Learning to Fly" + a telephone call.
