The United Nations was formed at the end of the Second World to ensure future peace and promote better understanding among all Nations of the world. At present it is more in the form of an association of Nations with no sovereignty of its own. In the beginning it has just 51 members. Now almost all Nations of the World are its members.
At the head of the UN is the Secretary General. The Secretariat functions from the UN Headquarters in New York.
Important decisions are taken by the Security Council, that is permanently in session at the Headquarters. The Council consists of 5 permanent members and 10 elected non permanent members. The permanent members are China, France, Russia, UK and USA.
The General Assembly is the UN legislature. It meets at least once in a year and as often as it is found necessary. Delegates from individual Nations take part in its deliberations.
It is a world government in the making. It is becoming more powerful every year. Seeking its help on all matters has become customary with most nations. All countries benefit by the UN subsidiaries like the World Health Organisation, the World Trade Organisation, World Bank etc.
The declining graph in its performance and membership of the erstwhile League of Nations was never seen in the case of the UN. With a little more understanding and cooperation, the UNO can easily become a de facto World Government.

Wow think of of the money saved if the UN moved away. Can already image the recent residence progression, and all those so stated as ambassador privileges revoked. The tens of millions of greenbacks no longer spent else have been yet spent interior the U. S. rather. the infantrymen that isn't ought to area of the UN forces. The treaties the U. S. can purely brush away, the nonsense of asking permission to do the marvelous ingredient might purely shop time. rather of humanitarian money going into the pocket of UN officers it ought to easily flow to the individuals who's if we like it too. looks like a good thought to me.
