Is huntsville texas a good place to live?

Is there a low crime rate? My daughter will be starting high school this year so what are the high schools like? Is it a safe friendly place?

Huntsville is about the most contrasting city you will ever find. On the one hand, it's home to Sam Houston State University with about 12,000 students. On the other, it's the headquarters of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice and home to about 7 different prisons including the state penitentiary. In general, it's a fairly quiet city with not too much to do. The nearest decent entertainment would be in Houston, about 80 miles south. Sorry I can't be much more help.
