Alex is a fine name. I do prefer it as a nickname, but I suppose, if given Alexander, I'd take Xander over Alex anyday. Actually, I think I prefer Alex as a full name after all.

Alecs, on the other hand, is just multiple people called Alec.

I think Alec or Alex is fine, but I feel that Alecs seems a little unnecessary to me.

Alex, short for Alexander. Alecs looks misspelt. Also consider the saying Smart Alec.

Alex. Alecs makes no sense whatsoever. Alex is a nickname for Alexander, Alexis or Alexei. Aleksander is also a variant of Alexander, so Aleks would make far more sense than Alecs. I still think Alex would be much better.

I like Alex because people will nt mis spell it incorrectly and it is easier to remember and more common

    However, Alec is more unique
