Both although the receiver can be empowered by dealing with the conflict. I would add sometimes others observing the conflict are affected also eg children.

Some people love to quietly start trouble

Some people love to stand up for them selves

    Most Affected?

In a serious conflict perhaps it is the innocent bystanders

Those who pay the price of the fall out and gain nothing from the conflict

"Holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else; you are the one who gets burned." -- Buddha.

If someone engaged another in conflict for no-one reason other than wanting to hurt him the person inflicting will most likely get burnt by his own anger. His friends/family will realize that he is just a bully and will most likely have a negative view on him from there after.

Wounds heals relatively quickly but actions aren't as quickly forgotten.

  • The person inflicting the pain. Obviously they are hurting and and self hate.

The lower strata of population is generally affected because such conflict, chaos or turmoil.

Many who initiate the conflict, have no conscience,

while the one affected by the conflict has to have the time

for the physical and emotional scars to heal. ♥

  • In my case myself & my late G/F where hurt the most. the one doing the hurting was never remorseful for his/her actions until my g/f passed away & by that point the damage was done & it's too late.

The one who hurts. The other one may forgive and forget but you are never able to forget your words, and they keep echoing in your mind every time you see them.

Its easier to forgive someone than to forgive oneself.

  • Hi

    I would think the

    receiver would

    hurt the most ,

    but then again ,

    guilt can be

    harmful .

    I suppose it

    depends on

    the individuals.

Both of them are badly affected though they will realize it afterwards. Thank you.
