Do you think there is Waste, Fraud or Abuse in the IRS?

If so, how do propose it's eliminated?

Update:

insoc - I don't think I've seen your TPS report.

It is estimated that if the IRS could actually collect all the tax legally owed to the federal government under the tax laws, there would be no federal deficit at all. Maybe the way to eliminate waste is to give it sufficient funding to do its job.

Yes, there is waste, fraud and abuse in every agency of government and every corporate entity.

It has been demonstrated that each time an auditor is hired he pays for himself. Waste, fraud and abuse may be discovered by a competent audit program.

Consider the current flood of disability claims. Only the naive would believe those folks are actually disabled. They can't find jobs and they fake it. If auditors were allowed to go after the fraudsters we would save billions.

    So, why don't we?

The honest Tax Act H.R.25 does in basic terms that it removes the IRS it removes tax withholding out of your verify. It removes having to report a tax return and the only time you may pay a tax is that in case you purchase some thing kind new. something offered it is used isn't taxed. This equals the playing field for all ranges of society. The greater funds you have and the greater issues you purchase the greater tax you pay. No loop holes in undemanding terms a at once up flat tax

    No.

The IRS is backed by the tax courts, but appeals outside the tax court system usually go against the IRS, and they know it.

All you need is a CPA like me to read the law to the IRS over the phone to get them to back down. (And generally speaking, the IRS is not unfair about taxes. They're easy to work with.)
