Acting auditions. Website that don't cost money and aren't a scam?
I want to act, and I will find some websites but they usually cost money. Anybody out there that knows a site that doesn't need upgrades or money to see auditions? Any tip on getting discovered is good too.thanks

You could check out the websites for your local theater companies. They may list upcoming shows and audition dates.
Professional acting is a business. Companies invest a lot of money in their productions and so they're looking for trained and experienced professionals not just anyone off the street. So the type of work you find on websites are generally for low-to-no pay jobs that beginning actors take for experience. Actorsaccess.com is free to see the notices (you have to pay if you want to submit yourself online). But again - mainly low-to-no-pay jobs in the LA and NYC area. Here's some information about online casting for you: http://www.bizparentz.org/thebizness/onlinecasting...
If you're looking at wanting a professional acting career, you really need to do more research into the industry. You're not going to be able to show up at some open audition and be "discovered". That's not how the industry works. It's more like starting a company and you are the product you have to market and sell. So you need a good product (talent, training and experience), but you also need to understand how the industry works. There are a lot of scams and ripoffs out there, so educate yourself!

First of all, you should never pay to audition. To find auditions you will need to have an agent. If a company accepts you without an agent, they are probably a scam. Usually, companies only want trusted, professional actors. Prior to getting an agent, you will need experience, training, etc. Not many people get "discovered", because the entertainment industry is super competitive. All you can do is try your best to make it. You have to put in all your time, dedication, and effort into acting. in addition you have to have a natural talent and true passion for acting. Good luck :)

You won't find any genuine auditions on websites or anywhere else in the public domain.
Auditions are only found through agents - and to get an agent you have to have trained for many years and have loads of experience.
Actors don't just 'get discovered' - they get noticed performing in small roles on stage or in minor parts on TV or in movies, which they only got after they got signed by an agent.
Ask at your stage school or drama school - they'll include classes about agents and auditions when you're ready for them.

Auditions never come via websites - they come via agents who earn a percentage of your fee, so there's no upfront costs. Agents scout accredited drama schools for new talent, so you need to look at training there.
