If you had to say, who is the best music Producer of all time in Rock?

such as George Martin, Bob Ezrin, Mutt Lange etc.....

Update:

Tom Dowd is a good answer, also Al Kooper sorta turned Skynyrd into the beast they never knew they were, ....

and spot on Lep as usual....

I always thought Brendan O'Brien was quite versatile over the last couple of decades. Also Tom Werman & Alan Parsons chipped in quite nicely on his projects (no pun inteneded)

Not the best of all time, but my friend Mitch Easter is great producer. He produced the first two REM albums and just did Joe Walsh's latest album.

Bob rock.I know that he made metallica a commercial shït after the Black Album but don't forget the fact that he brought metal to the masses and made it mainstream.

    VERY good question.

I would say George Martin. He really was the man behind the sound and quality of the Beatles music.
