cant get my moen kitchen faucet apart. the screw just spins?

my moen kitchen faucet leaks and im trying to take it apart. the handle screw just spins .

    The only screw you should see on a Moen is the one that holds the handle on after you remove the decorative cap. If it spins, it must be stripped. You'll have to grab it with pliers and turn it (counterclockwise) while lifting it.

    The good news is that it's likely that the brass shaft is what's stripped. You'll get a new shaft with the replacement cartridge.

    Sounds like you have used the wrong Allen Wrench on it and it probably stripped the head. You can try a tiny flat head screwdriver and see if that will grab the head. If not you will have to drill it out then get a new set screw to replace it with.

    replace the whole faucet; they are not made to repair anymore

    stripped out, just pull up hard on handle when un screwing
