What are some cool places to visit on this road trip?
My family will be going to Seattle and Vancouver this summer from Springfield, MO. What would be some cool places to stop at on the way?
If I'm correct, I believe we will be going through the following states on the way: Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, Washington

Yellowstone is one of the most unique places on Earth. It's a place you MUST see before you die.
There are tons of interesting things to see in the park. It's a unique and amazing place
Here is a trip planner

Be sure to see the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone. It's really impressive.

The Norris Geyser Basin in the north west section of the park has the most spectacular geysers.

Take a day trip and go to the Grand Teton National Park and visit Jackson Hole.
Stay in West Yellowstone. It's right at the western entrance, which is closest to the attractions you'll want to visit.

Seattle is a great city to visit. Tons of stuff to do
You can take the high speed ferry from Seattle to Victoria or Vancouver BC.
Consider also visiting Victoria. It is a very cool city to visit. Their botanical garden is unique and the BC Museum is located there.
I stayed at the Edgwater Hotel in Seattle. It's built on a pier right next to the ferry dock. You can literally walk from the ferry to your room in 5 minutes.

The Seattle Aquarium is close by as is Pike Place Market.

Seattle Art Museum is nearby and has a eclectic collection

From Pike Place Market you can walk downtown to Westlake Center Mall, at 5th Avenue and Pine Street, and catch the Monorail (built for the '62 World's Fair) right to the Space Needle. At the space needle is the SiFi Museum and Music Museum.
New Seattle was literally built over the top of the old city. It was raised to prevent flooding. There is a hidden underground city you can tour.

Be sure to visit the Smith Tower observation deck. At the time it was built, it was the tallest building west of Chicago. You take brass and copper caged original 1914 elevators to the Chinese Room at the top. The crown jewel of the Smith Tower is the legendary 35th floor Chinese Room. The room’s name derives from the extensive carved wood and porcelain ceiling and the elaborately carved blackwood furniture that were gifts to Mr. Smith from the Empress of China.

Assuming you mostly follow the route suggested by Google Maps (I-29 to I-90), some neat things along the way are:
Badlands National Park
All of these are in the same general vicinity:
Mt. Rushmore
Crazy Horse Memorial
Jewel Cave
Wind Cave
Black hills gold mines
Sturgis, SD
Deadwood, SD
Devils Tower, WY
Yellowstone National Park
Cody, WY - this would be a good place to stop for a night. They do a Wild West gunfight reenactment and rodeo every evening in the summer, and it would let you get to Yellowstone early the next morning
Leavenworth, WA (modeled after a Bavarian village)
Seattle has one of the largest Air and Space museums in the world near Boeing Field and you can also take a tour of the Boeing assembly plant.
Rather than driving directly to Vancouver, consider driving around the top of the Olympic peninsula a bit around the Pacific coast and Olympic National Park. Then you can take the ferry from Port Angeles, WA to Victoria BC, then there's another ferry that will take you back to the mainland near the city of Vancouver.

Yellowstone, Glacier NP - any of the national parks. Check their website for info. In Nebraska, if you want to go kayaking/canoeing in a beautiful setting, check out the Niabroa River national river.

Rock city, a pair hours from Atlanta Georgia is an exceptionally neat provide up. My kin went there as quickly as on our thank you to Florida. It became definetly properly truthfully worth the provide up, and that i exceedingly recomend it. The Gateway Arch, in St. Louis Missouri is yet another place properly worth vacationing. i'm heading returned there this summer season. you will get a trip each and every of ways as much as the precise, and then seem out and take pictures from the precise. The headwaters of the Mississippi River, located close to Itasca State Park in Minnesota is fairly an surprising sight, particularly while you're from down south. Up in Itasca, the effective Mississippi is barely a pair inches huge. This provide up must be style of out of your way, using fact it is in northern Minnesota, yet i myself recomend it.
