# Help please I don't understand?

Solve the system to find (u,v). Hint: x = 1/u and y = 1/v. Use x and y in the equations to solve. Once you solve for x and y, set those solutions equal to 1/u and 1/v, respectively, to find (u,v):

6/u + 5/v = 1

3/u - 10/v = 3

solve these as simultaneous equations

6/u + 5/v = 1

multiply by 2

12/u + 10/V = 2

*********************

3/u - 10/v = 3

+ 12/u+ 10/v = 2

**********************

15/u = 5

5u = 15

u= 3

***************************

6/3 +5/v = 1

5/v = 1-2 = -1

-v = 5

v= -5

u=3, v= - 5

check

6/3 + (-5/5) = 1

2 - 1 = 1

1 =1

3/3 - 10/(-5) = 3

1 +2 =3

3 =3
