All fad diets and all diets that focus on only one type of food do not work. You need to eat a variety of foods and you need restrict your calories. Focus on eating fresh fruits, fresh veggies (not veggies that high in starch like corn, squash, peas and potatoes- focus on vegetables like salad, spinach, kale, carrots, broccoli, string beans, tomatoes, celery, cucumbers), eat lean proteins (boneless skinless chicken breast, over roasted turkey, baked salmon or grilled salmon, tuna drained in water, lean ground beef), eat healthy fats (almonds, unsalted peanuts, avocados, Brazil nuts, cashews, natural peanut butter), focus on whole grains (oatmeal, whole wheat bread, whole wheat pasta, brown rice, low fat organic granola, high fiber cereals) and focus on fat free dairy products (skim milk, fat free yogurt, fat free cottage cheese and low fat cheeses- stay away from American cheese b/c it's been pasteurized) Drink water and stay away from sugary drinks. When you're craving something sweet have dried fruit, frozen low fat yogurt and/or fruit and cereal bars.
