Which bike would be better?

Which one is better in durability and overall components and crafting material

Specialized Hardrock

    It's a toss up. If you look at the specs, they BOTH use the same Shimano TZ31 14-34, 7 speed FREEWHEEL. Better bikes use a "cassette" and double wall rims.

    At least the Specialized uses double wall rims. Based on that fact - the Hardrock.

    Edit: nodopenomore...LOOK again! The Trek uses a Shimano MF-TZ31 Tourney FREEWHEEL!!!

    The Specialized has a 7 speed freewheel. That is A BIG NO-NO. More so for an off-road bike.

    Go for the 7 speed cassette of the Trek.

    They are so, so similar that it really comes down to personal choice, i have Specialized S-work Stumpjumper Carbon and totally love it but Trek are a really good brand too.

    See if you can test ride then (most shops allow this) and see which feels better
