Are there weed/grass killer sprays that are safe for the environment and wildlife?

I would like to find some environmentally safe weed killers (that really worked in killing the weeds) but would be safe for the watershed/wildlife etc. It needs to be something I can use liberally as there may be quite a large area to spray.

Update:

I don`t care if it kills ALL the greenery I spray it on.I actually want it to.What I am asking is if there is something that will kill grass and weeds but will not harm animals and water sources.

Depends what weeds you are talking about.

Lawn weeds can be spraying with Whitney Lawn Weed Killer, which damages broadleaf weeds, but not grasses, by overloading them with iron.

There are general herbicides using a strong vinegar, but it's not selective. It will damage most anything green it's sprayed on.
