What kind of bug is this (see picture)?
Please tell me it's not a bed bug >.>. Its actually really really small, the picture is just high resolution.
Thanks for the quickly reply. Just to provide additional information I have found them on a bed in a bedroom over the course of a few weeks. I have never seen more than one at an given time.

this time of year there are countless types of small beetles that look alike...one worry would be if it is one of the powder post beetles...can't really be sure with your picsSource(s): me-exterminator

Standard lice control sprays usually take care of bedbugs.
This does not look like a bedbug. It looks more like a small flying beetle.
Your best preventative measure is to cut down on the amount of skin cells they have to feed upon, which means bathing or showering at least once daily, always wearing fresh clothes and keeping ahead on the laundry.
By the way, the bug resembles something seen in the upper midwest around the mid-summer. The one you saw may have been pretty small, but they get about 1/4 inch long, and they eat animal waste excretions (poop). If you saw one, there are about 10 million more within a square mile of you.
