How do I write creatively?

I have no idea where to start!

What do I write about? As a complete beginner, should I pick a random one-word title and write whatever comes into my head?

Where should I draw my influences from? I don't read as much now, but I previously loved Barbara Kingsolver, Nabakov, Tolstoy, Dostoevsky Hemingway and Camus. How is their writing supposed to 'influence' me?

And where can I get feedback/guidance? Are online communities a good idea (and if so, any personal recommendations?)? Should I try to find a writing workshop or class (currently in Southern CA, about an hour south of LA)?
