How could the south lose to the north what a tragedy.?

    An estimated 5 million lives lost, tragedy - no doubt about it...They wanted too much; just when Lincoln was about to concede them limited slavery in exchange for peace they rejected...

    I'm southern born and bred. That being said, there should have never been a civil war to start with. There should have never been slaves. The south should have never decided to secede from the union. That was probably the 2nd most tragic thing that has ever happened in America, Second only to the decimation and dehumanization of the Native Americans. WHEEEEEHOOOO (my rebel yell)
