Slow down!! Models don't prove anything. They just provide a theory of reality.

The Plum Pudding Model has, of course, been shown to be untrue. This model suggests a stream of alpha particles will be largely deflected by small displacements. Rutherford showed that, in truth, very few were deflected but those that were, were knocked wildly from their paths. The resulting nuclear model has stood the tests of time. The model was proven to be correct, it didn't prove anything.
