why doesn't the cashier at mcdonalds make the same $ as the CEO? doesn't make much sense does it?
that's corporate America for you, abuse of workers, greed, corporotocracy, and thing such as that

You do understand the difference in job responsibilities between a cashier and ceo right?

its not so curious that a person in a more senior position makes more but how much more they make
how can any one human being be worth the the wage equal to say 50 or 100 or 500 other humans
if base wage for a front line worker is $20 000 - 50 x = $1 000 000, 100 x = $2 000 000, 500 x = $10 000 000
there is clearly something wrong with a system that system that allows some to take home that much and they arent even the owners of the business while many many others live close to or below the poverty line
now, Im not talking about layabouts asking for a handout
Im talking about workers who turn up every day for work, do their job to the best of their capability and go home
only to be paid a wage barely sufficient to pay the rent, put fuel in their car and eat decent meals
whats with that??

I have nothing against the mentally challenged, but I've seen too many cashiers at McDonald's that can't make change without the computer telling them how. I had a bill for $4.15, gave the cashier a five dollar bill, a dime and a five pennies and she had to call the manager for help.

Because the CEO takes more education, experience, skills, and knowledge. However, I do think cashiers should make more than slave wages. It's sad. McDonald's can afford it, there's no need to treat the employees like cattle.

It doesn't require much thinking or skill to be a cashier. This is why you see so many young teenagers cashiering.

Yes, wouldn't it be grand if everybody could make above average wages......
