Is it true that Rowan Atkinson hates acting?

He said in this interview: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/8798688/Rowan-A... that he finds acting dull and stressful.

I don't understand... If he hates acting then why did he become an actor...

Most people change jobs at least once in their lives - I've had four totally different careers so far.

Atkinson started off with a degree in engineering, then became a comedian and a writer - he drifted into acting, and he's extremely talented, but he was probably happier before, as a comedian.

Acting IS stressful, especially comedy acting.

He almost certainly loved acting at first, but over the years it's no longer making him happy - why is that so hard to understand?

Loads of people move into acting from other careers, and likewise people move away from acting to other jobs.
