Does BV always come back? If so, how can I prevent it from coming back?
I was diagnosed with BV about three weeks ago. I finished taking my antibiotics but now I'm scared to have sex again because I've heard some scary things online about how for most women BV comes back again and again. I really don't have the time to deal with that. Please help!

Yes, BV does tend to come back, unfortunately. The point is that BV is caused by vaginal acidity, so you need to control that. The antibiotic has removed the bacteria, and as long as you can keep the vaginal acidity under control, you should be ok. And that can be done by following healthy lifestyle practices and taking natural elements like yogurt, cranberry juice and green tea etc. In fact, BV can be naturally controlled a lot from such practices, once the antibiotics have killed the germ in the first place.Source(s): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bacterial_vaginosis%E... http://www.thebacterialvaginosis.com/ http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/bacterial-vaginos...
