Did I pull a muscle? Or did I almost pull one?

Cheer tryouts are next week and I have been stretching as much as I could before. Yesterday I stretched both my legs and went down to do the splits. I'm not all the way down yet. It was about the 3rd time I had went down when I felt a pull in back of my knee. Yesterday I stretched both my legs and went down to do the splits. I'm not all the way down yet. It was about the 3rd time I had went down when I felt a pull in back of my knee. I quickly got out of the splits position and took a warm bath. I can walk and jump on it. I can also stretch and touch my toes. But it feels kind of Sore. Did I pull or muscle? What can I do to make it better?
