Neon Genesis Evangelion - Shinji Ikari was abandoned by his father when he was 4 weeks after witnessing his mother's death. 10 years later he is called by his father to come to Tokyo-3. Playing on his self hatred his father coerces him to pilot Evangelion Unit 01. Piloting in this anime is not a good thing, they feel everything, boiled alive, limbs ripped from their bodies, impaled etc.

Believing that the only reason anyone tolerates him is because he pilots Unit 01 he continues despite the mental trauma and horrific injuries, how far will he go to protect those few he cares about?

AMVs show the new Rebuild of Evangelion footage from the movies.

this of course isn't the actual music in the anime to give you an idea here's some. It's often sombre or dire sounding.
