What is a wifi adapter!!?

Im building my own pc my parts are as follows

Intel Core i3-3220 CPU

MSI B75MA-P45 Motherboard

EVGA GTX 650 Ti Graphics Card

4GB Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz RAM

500GB Western Digital Caviar Blue Hard Drive

430W Corsair CX430 Power Supply

Do i need to buy a Wi-Fi Adapter - Asus PCE-N15 to connect to my homes wireless wifi or what!?? Thanks

    If you don't use an Ethernet cable then yes you do need one.

  • DESKTOP MACHINES have a different " REQUIREMENT " for connecting to the internet " wirelessly " and it is CALLED a ( WIRELESS NETWORK ADAPTER ) this device plugs into a USB slot on the DESKTOP computer itself. AND its software HAS to be INSTALLED on the DESKTOP too.

    You can either buy one off amazon for about 4$ that you plug into your usb,

    or you can buy one for one of your pci-e slots which of course is alot prettier
